Maas BiolAB expands in Europe HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2001--Maas BiolAB, LLC, a privately-held
Swedish-American biopharmaceutical company, announced the formation of
its wholly owned Swedish subsidiary, NeuroPharma AB, and 3 appointments
to the international management team. NeuroPharma AB will be the vehicle
for Maas' European development of Cyclosporin Neuroprotection. Mr. Batcheller is a corporate lawyer focused on pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device clients with an emphasis on entrepreneurial, innovative businesses. He has lectured in intellectual property law and European Union competition at Lund University, where he obtained his LL.M. in European Law. Mr. Batcheller obtained his B.Sc. (Economics.) from the London School of Economics and his LL.B. from the University of Toronto. Batcheller was previously a partner of a major Canadian law firm, now merged into Borden Ladner Gervais. He is responsible for Maas corporate and business development, legal affairs, and project management. Andreas Inghammar, LL.M., Director of Administration (Lund, Sweden). Mr. Inghammar received his LL.M. from the University of Lund in 1998 and, through 1999, clerked at the Administrative Court of Skåne (South Sweden), in Malmö. He is lecturer and Ph.D. candidate in European Labour Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lund, Sweden. He is a member of the board of research at the Faculty and president of the board for Ph.D. candidates. Mr. Inghammer will coordinate Maas operations in Scandinavia and Maas administration. Philippe Racapé, MBA. Director of Finance (Paris, France). Mr. Racapé has his MBA in International Business from Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) in Paris with internships in USA, Japan, Hong Kong and P.R. China. He has worked in BNP-PARIBAS as corporate relations manager and in the Audit department. Mr. Racapé will be co-ordinating Maas operations in France, and the company's international financial development.
